Hunston car boot – is held on most Saturday mornings just by the roundabout into Hunston from Chichester. It can have over 100 stalls mid-Summer! There are always fruit and veg, pet food, mixed ironmongery and plant stalls, plus garden furniture and plenty of locals selling off unwanted things. Its also a magnate for professional sellers. It runs from March to November but is weather dependent as the field is liable to flood and its pretty exposed to wind. It opens from 8am and is in full swing by 9am.

Chichester Market Car Boot – these are on Bank holiday Mondays and are in the old cattle Market to the West side of the City. (Usual market days are Weds and Sat) The market site car boot is always on Sundays and starts 11.45.

Ford Car Boot – its a biggy! on the old Ford aerodrome – aim for Arundel and follow the signs. (Be warned its very exposed to wind so wrap up warm but its open whatever the weather and all year round.) It all on tarmac (as is the parking) so you won’t get stuck in a field! Held on a Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Use BN18 0FL to get there.

Fontwell Park – held on a Sunday – next to the racecourse off the A27 Fontwell roundabout (head towards Bognor to enter). This isn’t always on – but will be in good weather. Usually from 9am.

There are of course other local village Fairs from time to time – so its best to see the local press for these – http://www.chichester.co.uk/what-s-on/out-about

Well I hope this has helped you make the most of your stay at Chichester Self Catering – you never know you may find a fabulous bargain!

Please note: – as some people are contacting me because they want a pitch at a car boot ie are traders – I have nothing to do with the organisations who run these! Cheers!

To find out about start times, trader costs etc you need to contact the organisers of each car boot sale separately. I don’t know!

There are other ones cr boots, check the Friday free add paper or online will tell where they all are and start times. Thanks.
