Dogs on holiday – the best walks

Frostybackgarden2012

Pets are part of the family, especially dogs. Naturally if you are having a stay-cation you want them with you too. At Chichester Self Catering we are pet friendly, and close to several beaches, many countryside walks, the South Downs and a host of other dog-friendly attractions.yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7 Dogs on holiday - the best walks

Living Elements is pet friendly and is available all year round.

Nature’s Elements is pet friendly for access dogs or small dogs (due to the floors and damage from claws).

Neither garden is totally dog secure depending on the escape capabilities of your hound! and we can provide can garden-stakes on request.dunes-and-dogs.1000px-150x150 Dogs on holiday - the best walks

We are in the middle of the “Manhood Peninsula” – an agricultural setting which has many smallholdings locally as well as larger fields. It is a wildlife haven – there are many birds at Chichester Self Catering which we encourage!

Please bear this in mind!! There are also local rabbits and deer!

Just a mile down the road to the East is Pagham Harbour RSPB Reserve with good  access paths for push chairs etc and a wildlife trail. In the other direction – South is the new Medmerry Harbour – again with lovely walks (dogs must be under control though) and to the West is Chichester Harbour. Between these are the Witterings and Selsey for more seaside walks on shingle and sand dunes! Doggy paradise with a swim!!

The South Downs offer a variety of walks for the more energetic – it is hilly and wooded in places! We have OS maps to help you plan your day and allow for pit stops for food and drink / other attractions.
