There are plenty of excellent course and club houses and golf ranges locally – from seaside locations to those nestled in the South Downs.
This is the view on the Downs Course at Goodwood looking to Chichester Cathedral and the coastal plain.

Selsey Golf Club just on the right as you pass “The Wave” going into Selsey Town. (PO20 9DR) 01243 602165 Operates a pay and play system. The beautiful but testing 9-hole links type course has multiple tee positions, this course has a par of 68 over 18-holes.
Golf at Goodwood – the Park Course is pay and play and The Downs Championship courses have spectacular views, undulating courses and newly renovated in 2006. The Downs course is 100 years old in 2014. You can even use a vintage golf cart! 01243 755168

Cowdray Park Golf Club 01730 813599 (GU29 0BB) Sandy soil and good irrigation gives year-round play. Pay and play is available here at Chiddingfold Club too.
Hayling Island Golf 023 9246 4446 In 2002 a new clubhouse was built in the art-deco style of the original clubhouse. The clubhouse and the course offer magnificent views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight and north over Sinah Lake/Langstone Harbour to the South Downs.
Slinfold Golf and Country Club 01403 792620 A private Members Club who welcome visitors. The 18-hole course is for Members only but the floodlit driving range can be used all year round.
Whilst I do not play golf, my father used to play off scratch (!!) so I have an appreciation of this interesting game. At Living Elements there is a lockable shed for storing your clubs and any wet weather gear in. For storage if you stay at Nature’s Elements, speak to Gayle – there is plenty!
