It is a mecca for flower arrangers, lovers of flowers and those who want to heighten their spiritual awareness by the scents and colours that are brought into this huge space.

Visitors come from all over the World to enjoy this spectacle – which is the “gold carpet” in many flower arrangers year – it is that special! The 900 years old Cathedral will be decked out with over 80 separate arrangements!

For those who are looking for something a bit different in addition there is a Festival Market which includes a large number of stalls selling a vast range of plants and craft items, not to mention some quirky and unique gifts. Delicious refreshments and places to relax can be found in the Café de Fleur and Cloisters Café. The whole cathedral and grounds are open to the public during this time. The eastern Cloister will also feature a sculpture exhibition too.

Entry is strictly by timed ticket only – call 01243 813595

Children 14 and under free (2 children per paying adult).  Last entry is one hour before closing.

Te Cathedral is one of the few which DOES NOT charge for entry and the Flower Festival brings in about £1m so is a significant resource to help finance the Cathedral and its building works etc.
